This series of  pastel paintings possess dream-like qualities that transport you to settings of intense color.  The observer is part of a scene that will change very soon.  Lured by the source of illumination, you are drawn into an unfolding plot and a sense of anticipation.  The combination of color and subject, tranquility and uncertainty draws you in and invites you to participate in the landscape, ceremony and mystery of life.
